The Disabilities Recreation Project is non-profit organization that was formed in May 2002. We have been working to improve access to our parks. This includes picnic areas with wheelchair accessible tables, access for fishing, and the paving of pathways. Our goal is to provide access to the outdoors for those with disabilities. Disabilities Recreation Project is working very closely with Jackson County Parks and Recreation, with Expo Fairgrounds, and with many other agencies to plan, organize and complete projects that will richly benefit seniors and people with disabilities.
