The Disabilities Recreation Project held its first annual Fishing Tournament for Seniors & People with Disabilities in July 2002. This is one of our fund raisers, and all f the funds collected go to support access improvement projects in one of our surrounding parks or recreational areas. The Disabilities Recreation Project continues and now we are in our 8th year to sponsor the Annual Trout Fishing Tournament at The Resort at Howard Prairie Lake.

The Jetty Project
The Resort at Howard Prairie Lake now has a jetty that is accessible to all, along with a fishing pier for seniors and people with disabilities.
Howard Prairie Lake is generally considered by fishermen and Fish and Wildlife authorities alike to be among the finest rainbow trout fisheries in the Northwest.
